Four | Minx→ for her mer-form, see signature image → Evolet has a mermaid mother and a mortal fatherappearance: When not in her mer-form, Evolet's appearance seems as ordinary as any other, despite her enhanced beauty due to her lineage; since she is half mermaid, that half of her bloodline was carefully bred so that the offspring the mermaid's produced were extremely beautiful, almost otherworldly. The base color to this vixen's canvas is a russet mahogany with splashes of ivory littering her hide, the end result causing her to be classified as a tobiano pinto. Her tendrils are tainted a deep ebon, and they are long enough to brush against her shoulder blade. Ev's plumage is also a deep ebon that is maintained carefully to the point that it brushes against the ground. Due to her markings, ivory has been woven into the mixture. She is built distinctively feminine and her overall physique is very petite. She stands at a solid fifteen hands high, but her build causes her to appear smaller.
personality: Being half mermaid and half mortal, Evolet is in constant psychological battle with each half of her mind. The mermaid half is constantly wanting to lure a victim in with her melodic voice and goddess-like appearance, but the mortal half is very kind hearted, completely the opposite to her devious other half. Given the fact that she is half mermaid, as stated previously, it is her natural instinct to lure an unsuspecting stallion into the depths of any water source with her provocative charm and alluring, delicate, innocent beauty. Her mer-half is constantly wanting to spin lies and trick anyone into anything, which in some cases, is very helpful for Evolet. She is an extremely impressive liar, and can convince anyone of anything. Ev is attractive--unbelievably so--to a point of being bewitching. And she knows it. She uses it to her advantage whenever he mer-half wins through. Evolet's other half, her mortal half, however, is entirely the opposite to her deceitful, sly mermaid half. Once someone sticks around long enough to stop gawking at Evolet and start actually caring about her as a person and giving her a chance, they will see that Evolet truly is a very open-hearted, kind, affectionate, straightforward individual. Her not-so-loving half often, to other females and some males, makes her come across as malicious, spiteful, and, well, bitchy. She hates when people just see her as a pretty little sexy piece--she wants people to actually care about her as a person, to learn that she isn't just an empty headed goddess that floats around entrancing every stallion she comes across. She does hope to find someone a stallion who can accept her for who she is, but until then, she plans on merely counting on her close friends to support her and her moodswings. Overall, Evolet is merely a loyal and loving half-mer-horse that is an excellent actress good at spinning some lies that is very stubborn and free willed.
magical powers: Evolet is the product of a love tryst between a mer-horse maiden and an non-magical czar. She was granted the power to walk on land unlike her mother, yet she still gained the ability to shift into her mer-horse form when in contact with water. She does have some mental control over when she shifts to her mer-form, and she can stay in water without shifting for around ten minutes, but after that the urge to shift becomes out of her control. She gained most of her attributes from her mother, which comes with both it's pros and it's cons. One good thing, is the ability to shift. She see's it as a gift, something that she was honored enough to have bestowed upon her. Another plus is not only her enhanced beauty, but her singing ability. The mer-horses are famously notorious for their vocal ability, and Evolet was no exception. Her speaking voice is melodic but still normal enough to sound mortal, but when she begins to sing, it is otherworldly. A con for Evolet is that though she can be on land for extended periods, if she is on land and does not shift for more than several days she becomes extremely dehydrated and ill, which makes her much more comfortable when she is underwater rather than breathing oxygen--her lungs also shift when she shifts physical form, going from the ability to breath oxygen to being able to breath liquids; she does not spontaneously grow gills. That is merely a myth among mer-horses. Another one of her powers is her ability to elementally 'bend' water. She can control currents, water shapes, and so on. She can also lift amounts of water out of their source and into the air.
